  2. Potential Bypass Expansion Open House

    July 10, 2018, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Kalispell Chamber of Commerce

The City of Kalispell, Flathead County, Montana Department of Transportation, and the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce are encouraging individuals to add their input to how they foresee the expansion of the southern-half of the bypass to look during an open comment period on Tuesday, July 10. The open-house will take place in the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce conference room from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The four organizations have been working together over the past month on an application for a federal BUILD grant that could potentially expand a portion of the southern-half of the Kalispell Bypass.

  3. Street Connection Open House

    July 10, 2018, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ City Hall

The City is seeking input regarding the Kalispell Core & Rail Redevelopment Project “complete street” connecting Center Street with Idaho Street to provide better community access across an area that is currently hampered by the presence of the railroad. Three routes were originally selected - extending 8th Avenue West, extending 6th Avenue West, or extending Woodland Avenue. During public outreach, the Woodland Avenue connection ranked first among the options, closely followed by 8th street. Historically there has been concern that extending Woodland Drive through to Idaho Street would create unwanted impacts along Woodland Drive. Before we spend more resources developing a potential Woodland Ave. connection, we want to hear from more people in the community, especially those in the Woodland Drive neighborhood.
