Cutting Edge Excavation will be performing a waterline connection at the intersection of Hawthorn and Liberty Street on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 starting at approximately 8:00 am. It is anticipated that the water will only be shut down for approximately 4-5 hours. Per the City of Kalispell, the area shown on the map below in black (Outage 1) will be out of water during this time.

We recommend filling some jugs of water for drinking water and or a bucket so that you can refill the tank on your toilet if needed prior to the water shut down. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and hope to have this work completed in a timely manner.

If you have any questions, please contact our office at 406-755-0001.

Latest Update:

September 4, 2020 9:51 AM

The Montana Department of Transportation is continuing construction in downtown Kalispell Tuesday, September 8 through Thursday, September 10 between 7p.m.-7a.m.

All week, crews will be grinding concrete on Highway 2 (Idaho Street) between Meridian Road and 7th Avenue East-North. This work will be done in the outside lanes on Tuesday, and the inside lanes on Wednesday and Thursday. Crews will also be resealing joints in the outside lanes all week. Additional work will be done adjusting man-holes, replacing cracks through cross-stitching, and making spall repairs to the concrete. A spall is when concrete starts to flake or fall apart, and if left alone, could lead to more widespread deterioration.

More information about this project can be found on the MDT project website:

As always, if you have any questions, please call our project hotline at (406) 207-4484 or send me an email at amy@bigskypublicrelations.com. We are happy to address your concerns throughout the project.
