The City of Kalispell has contracted with LHC, Inc to improve or install sidewalks in the neighborhood on the south side of 12th Street West and work will commence as shown in the attached exhibit. Construction will occur within the City right of way and will require the removal of several existing City street trees, relocation of existing fence lines, and landscaping. Residential fence lines located within the City's right of way, will be removed and replaced to existing or better condition at the property line. This work will be done at no cost to the resident. During work, there will be machinery present and although full road closures are not anticipated, temporary or partial road closures may be necessary to accommodate construction activities and ensure public safety. It is anticipated the construction along 12th Street West will begin Monday July 13th at 8:00 AM (M-F) and will finish by 7:00 PM and will likely occur for the duration of 1-2 weeks dependent on weather. It will be the contractor's goal to perpetuate driveway access throughout construction with the exception of the preparation of the driveway replacements and pouring of concrete. We understand that this may be a short-term inconvenience and we hope to work together with you in a professional and amicable manner for the long-term improvement of your neighborhood. You will begin to see survey stakes or markers in the boulevard adjacent to your yard. Please do not remove or alter these stakes or marks for the duration of the project. In addition, property owners are encouraged to mark or contact us with any privately owned underground utilities within several feet of the curb such as heated driveways, irrigation systems or underground dog fencing. LHC, Inc. cannot be held responsible for damage to private utilities located within the right of way, but if they are marked, they will do their best to facilitate relocation. If you have any questions regarding this notice or the road construction project, feel free to contact Mike Brodie, WGM Group at the address below or at (406) 756-4848.
