Officer Dave Hutton Recognized for his Silent Service

Photo of Dave Hutton with Text saying Silent Service

On a morning in June, a drunk and reckless driver drove up on the sidewalk colliding with a wooden half wall, a street sign, A/C unit, newspaper stand, and the Kalispell Grand Hotel.   The damage left debris strewn for half a block leaving the sidewalk impassable.
Parking Enforcement Officer Dave Hutton (unaware at the time of what had happened) discovered the large amount of debris obstructing the sidewalk. Instead of ignoring the mess, Officer Hutton took the initiative to stop and clean up the area.  Nearby business owners and customers were very appreciative!
In this Silent Service we commend Officer Hutton for the action he took to create safe passage for pedestrians.  He made a lasting impression to the citizens who live, work, and shop on that block.  Thank you, Dave, for thinking of other’s safety and helping them “navigate” through their day.
